Eamonn O'Faogain

Eamonn O'Faogain was a very talented traditional Singer with a gift for vocal arrangements.  He worked as a primary school teacher at St.Colman's in Lambeg Co.Antrim and sang every Sunday at the 11.30am Irish language Mass at St. Mary's Church in Belfast.

The talented singer had represented Ireland at the Lorient Festival with Ceoltoirí Rosa and also sang for the President of Ireland.  He was also a founding member of the Cór Loch Lao, an Irish language choir based at the Cultúrlann in west Belfast.

The Long Stay worked with Eamonn on "Sweet Smile" for the "Fear of Water" album.  We had plans on linking up with Eamonn for some future recordings but life doesn't always work that way.  We wish Eamonn's family peace and love and are proud to have featured Eamonn's talents on one of our recordings.
